The mission of the Dickens of a Christmas holiday celebration is to make downtown New Bern a destination for shoppers and visitors while creating memories and developing family traditions. The Dickens of a Christmas committee is operated under the auspices of the New Bern Downtown Council, a committee of the New Bern Area Chamber of Commerce, a 501(c)6 not-for-profit organization.
